Our products are digital PDF ebooks delivered instantly after purchase. Because the content is consumable the moment it's downloaded, we treat purchases as final sale once delivery is complete. By completing your order, you expressly request immediate access to the digital content and you acknowledge — as required under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive — that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery starts. This is the standard practice for digital downloads and it's how we keep prices low.
That said, we're not here to keep money we don't deserve. The sections below cover the situations where we do refund.
If you don't receive your PDF, the link is broken, the file is corrupted, or there's any other technical reason you can't access what you paid for, contact support@thebugcompany.co within 7 days of purchase. We'll either resend the file, send you a working version, or — if we can't resolve the issue — refund you in full. No questions, no friction.
If you bought the wrong product, ordered twice by mistake, or misunderstood what was included, write to us within 7 days of purchase at support@thebugcompany.co and explain the situation. We review these case by case and we lean toward saying yes when the request is in good faith.
When a refund is approved, we issue it through Stripe to the original payment method. Most refunds land in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We'll send you a confirmation email the moment the refund is initiated on our end.
If something feels off about your order, please email us first — we genuinely want to fix it. Filing a chargeback with your bank without contacting us causes us significant time and fees, and in most cases the issue could have been resolved in a single email. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks filed before we've been given a chance to help, and to block future purchases from accounts that repeatedly file chargebacks instead of contacting support.
